Andy FarmerPAMPLICO, S.C. -- Anthony "Andy" Mert Farmer, 61, husband of Vera Locklair Farmer, died Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence. Andy was born on August 23, 1955 in Florence County, son of the late Thomas Cole Farmer, Jr. and Jean Poston Farmer McPherson. He was a graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School, a Mason and a former pipe superintendent for Fluor, Yates, Wellman and GBI. Surviving are his wife, Vera Locklair Farmer of Pamplico; daughters, Anisha F. (Robert) Watkins and Melissa F. (Jeremy) Weems, both of Pamplico; son, Anthony J. (Rita) Farmer of Pamplico; grandchildren, Elana, Leah and Redden Watkins, Payton and Abby Farmer, Addison, Colton and Coy Weems; sisters, Pam Hartfield of Johnsonville, Tammy (Terry) Holland of Middlesex, NC and Angela (Tommy) Sullivan of Brogden, NC; brother, Allen (Sherri) Farmer of Bloomfield, IN brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Patty L. Burns of Pamplico; and several special nieces and nephews. Andy was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Harry Locklair; mother-in-law, Ruth Keefe Locklair; brothers-in-law, Johnny Ray Locklair and Tommy Hartfield.
